    It it is the easiest way for sure, but as I've mentioned, it is not possible because I don't have administrator password to log on as administrator in Windows. In the same time I can't reinstall KSS. Simply, I don't know where to start.

    if you boot from other media (this hdd is only attached as a storage, not used to boot) then you should have full access to everything on it

    Quote from Gocea

    ... I'll implement all of you advices one by one.

    Before that, I have a brief question ....

    you should try all advices and answer all questions before you ask any further questions.

    Do you thing that the Ram stick has been damaged somehow, holding some old files and does not let the new files to be copied on it ?

    Should I replace the supposed damaged Ram with another one as a first step ?

    RAM is sensitive. any time you touch it (literally) you are running risk damaging it. stop touching it unless you have to... btw RAM is (or can be) tested by motherboard or separate program.

    That was second thing I was thinking that has to be done. I'm going to attach Cd rom boot from it and try to access the C: hdd using Hiren's bootCD in order to overwritte the needed Mada files.

    I'll let you know what will happen and what will be the next step. Thank you.

    Hello panik mode,

    I just tried to boot from bootable Cd but with no success (checked at another pc, the cd boots Hiren without any problem). Reorder of the bootable media is protected by system administrator probably. Simply there is no way to reorder the bootable media from the bios menu. Any help at this issue?

    Try it harder, it is possible. But the procedure needed to do that sometimes is a bit confusing. Try a keyboard with separate numpad, try keys enter and +/- up down in several combinations.

    There is no restriction by admin, password or something else.

    Hello Hermann,

    I tried meny combinations already, ctrl +, enter+, F10, boot from CD, Usb, none does works. I'll give another try, anyway. It is big problem, because also I can not make new Win XPe installation, as last option.

    Your oppinion to the following steps:

    1. take out the Hdd;

    2. connect the Hdd to another Pc as external Hdd;

    3. make a backup of the Hdd;

    4. give administrative right;

    5. place the Hdd back;

    6. reinstall the Kuka Kss in order to resolve the problem I fall in (the filles in the hdd can not be either compiled or writted by the Kss.

    Thanks in advance.

    (The doubt for existance of administrative right in bios, comes from the picture bellow)

    you do not need admistrative rights for the bios (at that time windows is not even started).

    check whether someone has added a bios passwort (settings and/or system).

    for usb support you need Mainboard FSC D1688 USB-Support (article number 00154293)

    In this case the bios Rev. 1.05.08 is installed.

    There is no password added, the Usb is supported and enabled. Still, boot from Usb using F10 key is not possible.

    Would changing Hdd jumper to slave mode resolve booting from Cd or Usb either?

    You are right, probably. I have succeeded to choose boot from Cd using F12 key, but the content of the Cd was not loaded (previosely tested and loaded at another Pc).

    Any suggestion how to pass this obstacle, (boot from Cd) ?

    either your CD Drive is busted or CD is either busted or not compatible. Perhaps it is not a CD at all, maybe you burned DVD and trying to read it in a CD drive...!?

    You are right, but the menu for boot sequence was not right there.,has to be used F12 key, instead.

    Anyway, I did not succeed to boot from the Cd content. Booting from Cd is protected somehow, probably.

    Either, the content is not visible in Windows file explorer.

    Any suggestion ?

    I have tried with the both Dvd and Cd rom, the result was same.

    Any suggestion for compatible Cd rom?

    try to see if your robots CD drive will read anything.... so try putting in whatever discs you have. check attic, basement or garage for any old CDs (real CDs not DVDs) or consider visiting your parents or grand parents, they too may have something old (AOL disc or whatever).

    also reading is a very good skill, so keep your eyes open, look closer and read...

    most products actually label media type on the top or on the inner ring of the media.

    https://www.wikihow.com/Tell-if-a-Disc-Is-a-CD-or-a-DVD

    tips:

    1. test your burned bootable CD on different computer (not one used to burn it).

    2. burned disc may not be properly closed and therefore may not be readable on other platforms

    3. some platforms do not like multisession discs so they may work fine elsewhere but not on platform you want.

    4. CD-R and CD+R are different and require correct type of burner. but once burned, both should be readable on any CD drive. in general "+" format is superior to "-".

    5. DVDs are not readable on CD drives but DVD drives will generally have no problem reading CDs.

    1) read pinned topic: READ FIRST...

    2) if you have an issue with robot, post question in the correct forum section... do NOT contact me directly

    3) read 1 and 2

    What is your oppinion, have I set the Hdd jumper to slave, in the same time?

    they should be on separate IDE channels since CD drive is much slower than HDD.

    normally:

    on primary IDE master is HDD and there is no slave

    on secondary IDE CD is a master and there is no slave

    one can connect both HDD and CD to same IDE but one must be a master and the other must be a slave... however this is going to bog down HDD performance

    the ribbon cable runs straight from IDE1 connector to your hdd.

    your cd-rom is connected to the IDE2

    If you have an usb cd-drive you could this one (use F12 for that)
