    Hey,

We just got new Fanuc R-2000iC/210L Robots with R-30iB plus controller. When creating a program, it will only let me use letters when naming a program. How do I enable the use of numbers and symbols as well?

You can use letters, numbers, and underscore. But it must start with a letter.

I've been seeing some people who like to begin all of their created program names with underscores so they all grouped together in the program screen. Not a fan but whatever.

Collections are a solution to that.

    I solved the problem.

Another question, When stepping through a program in T1, the fastest I can only turn my overide up to 50%. Is there a way to speed that up?

Set $SCR.$TPENBLEOVRD to 100 and it will let you run at a 100% in teach.

Edit: Wrong var. See my response below.

I'm not seeing $SCR.$TPENBLEOVRD in variables. These robots are brand new. Do think that Fanuc got rid of it for safety purposes?

I can't confirm on a real robot, but it is present on v9.30 of Handlingtool.

    My mistake. Should be $SCR.$RUNOVLIM.

Yup, that's definitely the one. It defaults to 50 on a new software load or straight from the factory. It's usually one of the first things I change.

$SCR.$TPENBLEOVRD is what the override gets set to when you enable the teach pendant.

Were you able to get the program name to start with a number? if so how

But it must start with a letter.

HawkME already stated it, but programs must start with a letter. It is a fundamental limitation in the controller. There is no way around it.
