I am using MotoSim EG-VRC2023 64bit on Windows 10 which works fine.
I had to install under 'run as administrator'.
I know it's a later version and on an earlier O/S than yours, but in the manual for this version it does suggest Windows 10 and Windows 11 recommended O/S.
So it's maybe worth a try.......
thanks. i did that already and result is the same. so far i tried:
* normal install (user account is admin) using installation software delivered on USB stick
* admin install (also using installation software delivered on USB stick)
* normal install using downloaded files from Motoman website
* admin install using downloaded files
each time removed previous install, did reboot then run installer, then rebooted again then tested.
also tried compatibility mode and nothing...
in my experience, message like that are usually shown when binaries are compiled for different target (16/32/64 bit) but the recommendation is to run this in Win11 and - this is a new Dell workstation with Win11. and as i run out of time and ideas, i decided to ask for suggestions here.
I couldn't really add any additional advice unfortunately.
What you have done covers what I would have done up to my capabilities on a PC level.
The only thing left to suggest which is a kind of hail Mary is (I expect you may have tried these too):
- Disabling of Firewalls and AV and allowing the application(s) to be trusted.
- Uninstalling and disabling of any other applications that may be of conflict.
- Checking/changing graphic settings within the BIOS and UEFI.
I hope you manage to get a resolution though, as your experience with Windows 11 is not giving me any warm feeling to upgrade from windows 10.
Hi,
It should be able to run under windows 11, i run MotoSim2022SP1.
first try without dongle to setup, it should run in a 90 days trail.
what is your windows version? not in s-mode?
what is the release date of your dongle, some older dongles cannot be used with the newer versions.
full admin mode on your pc available?
I've installed the motosim 2022 on w10, afterward it updated to w11 and Worked fine.
I beleive that you are from europe and as Customer you should be able to log to the yaskawa europe website to download the motosim. And if it does not work try with the prvious version.
Motosim 2022 is for Windows 10 only.
Motosim 2022 SP1 will work with Windows 11 (or Windows 10)
Motosim 2023 will work with Windows 10 or 11
if you download the software from the Motoman partners website, you will get a version that is for Strategic Partners only. It will not work on a new install, it is meant as an upgrade to the partners version. Same ting happens with the Educational version and the Motosim touch version. Be sure to get the version that is right for your application. And always remember, this is Yaskawa, nothing is free.
I had a problem like this before, but it was triggered because I installed a newer version of MotoSim EG (the simpler simulator) in a machine with an older version of MotoSim EG-VRC (the complete simulator). Updating EG-VRC and reinstalling EG solved the problem at that time.
Anyway, MotoSim 2022SP1 manual has a mention on this type of problem on its troubleshooting section (14.1 Start of MosoSim EG-VRC), but the solution isn't really helpful. Basically, it says to uninstall older versions of MotoSim and try again, and I believe You did it already a couple of times. But I would investigate some sort of remaining system file or registry entry after the uninstall process.
I was away for few days and was told that Motoman got our USB sticks and will update both software and license to match.
For now i am trying to get back to robot and learn about this product on my own as much as i can. it is using YRC1000 controller. i was told that some programs are already loaded. what is missing is a way of simple recovery (resume/continue) after safety is tripped and sensible/intelligent program to return to home. this is all new to me and so far i do not see anything resembling system variable manual. skimmed through some training manuals from a colleague (but he is not available to answer my questions). guess it will be forum time.
You and me are in a similar boat, I am on a rapid and steep learning curve and have been eating manuals for lots of information, which they don't seem to include some obvious things and they seem to go around the houses to carry out a simple instruction.
It's all good fun though.
Thank god for the forum though, already had some great assistance from various members.
I can PM a bucket load of information if you're interested, let me know I'll send over what I've got (there's a lot of them and not necessarily all labelled logically).
awesome...
i think i understand program structure. trying to find a way to read current position (joint or cartesian) and make decision based on that.
Ah silly me, the amount of docs I have are >700Mb, so I'll do some sorting and drip feed your PM over the next few days if thats ok.
The INFORM I think is what will get you away:
SET, GETS, GETE, SETE, CONVRT, MULMAT, INVMAT, GETPOS
Check your PM........
