Hello all,
Does anybody know KRC1 and KRC2 released and discontinued years by KUKA?
KUKA offers spare parts parts and service for retired product lines up to 10 years past the date they were discontinued. Don't remember when those were, hope someone has better memory or record.
I think KRC1 was about 2001 and KRC2 was about 2015.
are you talking aboit kr c2 (733 Mhz) or Kr c2 ed05 (2 GHz)
Thanks for replies,
I am working on an article, and I am intrested about, KRC1, KRC2 and KRC2 Ed.05 released and discontinued history.
I Found the history of two last KRC Controllers in KUKA website but no information about older versions
I found some data sheets and brochures about KR C2 and KR C3 as PDF and I do not know whether they
are useful for your article.
I also also do not know whether I can post them here. They were downloaded from KUKA long time ago
Regarding release dates, If I recall correctly.
KRC1 was released circa 1996
KRC2 (original, with Win95) was released in 2000
KRC2 ed05 (with Windows XP) was released in 2005
And there was the KRC1A, which was a short-lived transitional product just before the KRC2 came along. Tall cabinet, KRC1 PC rack, but with the Lenze servo modules that the KRC2 used.
Also didn't use the RDC memory (or at least, the ones I had at GM didn't), to avoid the lost-mastering issue when the batteries ran low, but that particular experiment didn't carry forward.
