it would be much more productive if you included some details. simply saying "it is a KUKA" does not really convey any details...
but you can try checking for blown fuses, message logs etc. probably it is RDC (the old one - RDC1) but could also be KPS600. -
I see you say that the batteries are good, I had the same issue but mine were bad batteries, after I replace the CMOS battery and the Kuka 12V batteries in the cabinets the mastering stays.

I just found out if I do a cold restart or the computer crashed I have to remaster the robot, not sure if its normal cause
I'm new to the robot world, trying to learn. -
Most likely the batteries are dead and require replacement.

Last year I had Agilus robot (installed earlier) had problem with losing its mastering on normal operation. After firmware update problem is solved.
We had KUKA Support helping us. -
Hi ,
Could you update us with the repair . what kuka done to sort out the problem ??
Cheers

as noted, they carried out firmware update. firmware is software that is not installed on HDD, it is stored and runs inside hardware components (such as RDC, KPP, KSP, CCU).
but to help anyone... ever... first thing it to identify type of system. architecture is very different for KRC1, KRC2 and KRC4. this is why READ FIRST topic is created and pinned for all to see but so many fail to heed...
