Hi All,
New to this robotic repairing and working with one of our maintenance guys with one of our ABB irb 4400 arm. We are running into an issue where the gripper will not open when putting the part into the machine. We turned it to manual and trick it by swapping the wire on the I/O board and the issue will switch by opening but will not close.
We pinpoint it to the I/O ABB DSQC652 I/O board being bad due to swapping the plugs. We also notice that pin 10 light will be on when closing but when trying to open pin 11 light will not turn on.
Before we start ordering some parts would anyone know what can cause this issue? Can it be a short or a bad board? Is there a way to test the board? should the gripper when opening receive 24volt also or is that only when closing?
Thanks,
