Thanks a lot Panic Mode.
If anyone face the same problem in future.
You need to copy it from the SmartPAD D:\ drive of the robot. From the location Panic Mode mentioned

Hi,
I am struggling to copy the files from the location stated above.
I am logged in as expert but don’t seem to be able to copy or archive the files.
Any help would be much appreciated

well... you may want to throw us a bone first...
or try reading pinned topic READ FIRST.
are you in correct forum? what type controller you use? one could guess Motoman or UR or KUKA Sunrise....
what software type and version?
Are you trying to transfer files via floppies or RS232 laplink or tape drive or endless paper dot-matrix printout?
i hope you understand now how to ask for help and that you will try to use this next time...
lets see...
it is always a good idea to state software stand and check which if any options are installed.
KOP files are available for some of newer KSS versions and only for some of the options.
Hence it is quite likely that no KOP files are present at all.
But if they are there you should be able to see them in Navigator after you login:
the EDIT button in lower right corner provides access to file copy/paste options.
your USB stick will be shown as drive when connected (if recognized).
use USB port on the controller. smartPad has USB port(s) as well but they are SLOW and depending on installed KSS may not work at all except for few usb drive types.

Sorry for the lack of information on my part!
I think i know what i was doing wrong now from you assistance.
I will look again tomorrow!
Thanks

Also to note, if you cant find your KOP files on the D: drive, take a look in C:\KRC\TP

Hello,
I know this is an older thread but I am struggling with a similar problem.
Following option packages used in the solution are not installed in WorkVisual:
after which I get a list off packages that I can find in the KUKA_OPT folder on the D drive.
however none off these folders have a KOP file. I ran a search on both the C and D drive from the robot and these KOP files are not on the robot. How could I proceed?
-
The ONLY thing you can.... Go to the source - contact KUKA of course. Why is that a question!

Is this a KRC4? What KSS version?
There are some older KRC4s, and/or older TPs, that predate the KOP file format. What TPs does this robot have? Can you show us the what the KUKA_OPT directory looks like?
For example, in this screenshot below, the KUKA_OPT of this robot did not have KOP files for the DIAGNOSExxx TPs (although they're a slightly special case).

You might need to contact KUKA support, but if my memory is correct, KSS 8.2 predated KUKA switching over to the KOP file format. Back then, WoV was on version 2.x, and I don't recall that I ever installed TPs into WoV in those days, only DTM catalogs.

I can work with preparing everything in orange edit and copy it by USB.
Mainly my curiosity about what it could be was the reason for the question.
Thank you for the explanation!

KSS8.2 same type of setup as KSS5.x
KSS8.3 same type of setup as KSS5.x plus KOP
KSS8.5 KOP

KSS8.5 KOP
Pre-KOP was all .EXE installers, similar to many Windows program installers.
Do you mean KSS 8.5 (and beyond, I assume) is KOP-only now? Makes sense, but I wasn't aware there was no longer any fallback to the old style.
