Thanks for giving me benifit of the doubt, when I said its a cost effective solution, in my head it meant i wasn't giving a dodgy licence away,

Yes sorry my bad, relaised later I didn't write it very clearly
-
Fair enough I didn't realise they did that, you can use vrp remote by using team viewer or similar to connect to a local computer, and use it from there
-
is that legal? do you work for RoboDK? are you authorized to offer this?
Yes I'm a rdk reseller, I can generate trial licences
-
It all depends on what it is you need to achieve, imo RoboDK is a very powerful and cost effective solution, message me and I can send you a Pro licence key
-
As said earlier in the topic, virtual remote pendant
-
Kuka won't do that, they will want you to upgrade the system to 8.6 and win10, as win7 is end of life now too
-
Sky fire is correct, use Linux cnc, it supports stepper motors, and encoder feedback dc motors and more so the world is your oyster in that regard.
In terms of using robots to do what your looking at it's certainly possible, but that requires things like Kuka.Cnc and a calibrated arm, but that also depends on your budget and the tolerances you require
-
What would your reasons be for changing from 8.3 to 8.5?
If you are going to goto the expense of doing this I'd recommend contacting kuka for an upgrade to 8.6 as this will bring you onto the windows 10 platform (win 7 is going unsupported)
Along with this upgrade kuka will update 3 tech packs inclusive in the price
I did this recently and it cost around £5 grand, and that includes a tech coming and replacing the old pc for a new one
-
Have you looked on kuka xpert??
-
Ah thought it was something like that
-
Pretty much as title, what does the HF mean?
-
Look on the D drive in the option file folder, copy them to a USB stick, or if your networked goto your robots ip /d on your pc
-
OK, try checking the file tree in work visual and see if the file exists,
Have you got the kop files loaded in work visual?
If I were you, id remove rsi from the work visual project for now, solve your other issues, then come back to rsi
Removing rsi and reinstalling it might help you
Did rsi come pre installed on the robot or have you done it yourself?
-
Kss version, rsi version, and more information on what you have been doing and what your trying to do, check the READ FIRST at the top of the forum

As Johnny 5 would say... Need more input..
-
A robot mounted Ctrack laser scanner will do what you need, but not cheap unfortunately
-
Don't forget you can always ask kuka tech support, some clever guys there that know the tech packs far more than is explained in the documentation
-
Does your tool and base change?
-
As all said before, I had a brand new kr10, it kept losing mastering every week or 3, I sent it back to kuka to get them to work the problem, it was a slightly pushed back pin
Loose connections can cause really annoying intermittent problems, start there first.
