Hm...
So, I just inherited an older KRC4 (KSS 8.3.17) that has a number of TPs that I haven't used before. Opening the WVS file in my WorkVisual (4.0.25) gave me the expected "this project was made with an older version of WV..." message, and I imported the project. Then I got the error message that my WV was missing several of the TPs required for the project.
No big deal. I went to the D:\KUKA_OPT directory on the robot, and... got stuck.
WorkVisual's Option Package Editor requires a .KOP file for each TP. But some of the TPs on the robot don't have .KOP files. And my WV documentation makes no allowance for this contingency.
The TPs are valid, and installed correctly on the robot. But there's no .KOP file for some of them. And no KukaOptionPackages subdirectory in the TP-specific directory under KUKA_OPT.
EtherNetKRL 2.2.2, for example, has a .KOP file -- no problem. But UserTech 3.1.3? No .KOP file.
Now, IIRC, back during WV 2.x, and maybe for part of 3.x, .KOP files weren't a thing, yet. So some of these TPs must pre-date KOP files. And I need to add these TPs to my WV in order to work on this robot.
So... what can I do, here? Will I have to downgrade to an older version of WV (not sure where I would find the correct version)? Or is there a "back door" to add pre-KOP TPs to WV 4.x?
