Can exactly be your Problem. nuued for death handle workskr16_2: the last KRC2ed05 Standard models had also 2 power connectors.
You are correct but I don't think 5.2 software can handle this.

On X11 pins 6 and 24 needs to be jumped (external enabling switch for drives enable)
Just like the X11 wiring is showing on this page but actual jumpers not a push button.
Also you need a jumper between 41 and 42.
Here i am attaching the photo of the jumpering. Don't have the 6-24 one but 41-42 are connected.

Hmm no photo? but 6 and 24 definitely needs 24v output A and B.
This is for additional "deadman" in the circuit. If its open you will never get drives and probably no message either.
That looks OK 5->6 and 23 -> 24
So they are jumped.
These safety inputs with strange German names 
and letters A and B expects voltage from two different sources.
"Testausgang" A and B are outputs with the voltage.
So for example inputs NOT HALT A and NOT HALT B (ext. estop) expects voltage from Testausgang A and B.
Not sure what else you can look for.
Maybe track 480 circuit in the cabinet and make sure there is no servo disconnect somewhere?
GM and Ford loves to install some surprises like that.

Just to confirm - the robot is moving now case solved!
The problem was in the jumpering of X11 - loose connection on the back side - one of the pins wasn't contacting properly

I have the same problem with the safety circuit.
I converted a robot from a safe robot to a standard robot.
This means: 1. Uninstall KUKA.SafeOperation
2.Replacement of SafeRDC board incl. I / O Print board and SafeRDC box for RDC2 board included. the box.
3. Connect the SafeOperation jumper to A1 / X23 on the ESC3 Tech board.
I need to set Enable drives to TRUE.
I'm sending a photo from ESC diagnostics.
Do you have any ideas?

of course not. KRC4 is different. in fact there are many versions of this. several of them are for variants of KRC2. you need to use one that is correct for your particular controller.
