Hello, I have some errors on a krc1 old robot, and they are related to bus drivers... I think the files inside [drivers] folder are not OK, because of its very small size... Are these drivers on other folder of the robot in order to replace them?

    Thank you very much

I am not sure what exact error you are facing. Can you write the exact error message? Did you try to reset IO drivers? Try to check your IO configuration and IOSYS.ini file.

Thank you very much for your answers.

The errors are: Error 1013 "file drivers/ibusdrv.o not found", and Error 1025 "Error Configuration driver E/S ibusdrv.o"

The file physically exists inside driver folder, but size is only 130 bytes, I dont know if this is OK...

I tried to disable Interbus on IOSYS, and when I reconfigure I/O, no errors are sent, so I think its because of driver...

    Thank you very much!

What is the history of this robot? Was it working until recently? Is there Interbus hardware connected to the robot?

This error message is most often caused by hardware issues on the bus. A corrupted driver is rare, although not impossible.

Hm... an old KRC1 archive I have contains the IBUSDRV.O file, which is 90+kB. This came from a KRC1A running KSS 4.2, if I recall correctly.

If You have luck the driver is somewhere on drive D:
May be there has been done a "restore all from floppy" with a uncomplete backup. That can happen if the floppy is complete filled. There were versions of the KSS where no message came after the floppy was complete full. But after a restore there exist files with wrong filesize (mostly 0 bytes). In this case there may be more corrupt files.

    Hello.
    1. Do You have installed IBS card in robot cabinet ? based on PCI or ISA port ? (fiber optics or copper ?)
    2. Do You have instalation for interbus ( I/O's on master side of robot ) ?
    3. Do You have assigning in IOSYS Interbus configuration file SVC file ?

Hello, thanks to all of you.

The robot is a training old robot, so the problem is that it is out of control sometimes... The thing is that I have backups of it when it worked. IBS card is based on ISA Port, and as I said, bus worked ok a few days ago. I tried to restore a backup with IOSYS and INTERBUS ok, but message is clear, I think. Maybe someone opened drivers files and they were overwritten...

I will try to find drivers on D: , or get them from another robot if I can...

    Thank you very much!

EDIT: I found drivers on D: unit. I am no expert with krc1, so how can I copy these files to the correct folder? Thank you very much!

You can navigate to the folder where you need to paste the files like for IOSYS.INI you have browse C>KRC>ROBOTER>INIT and then you can paste the file there. After this, you need to reset the IO Drivers.

    Thanks

    Hello!

Finally I finally solved the problem. It was driver files, as I suspected. I accesed to windows explorer by pressing "ctrl+ESC" on kcp, opened windows explorer and copy/paste drivers from d: unit to driver folder. After a I/O reconfiguration and bus reset, all worked as before.

Thank you all very very much for your support!!!

    Alex
