We have been provided with an "automatic toolsetter" to play with. A lot of our customers are asking for a method to automatically update tool data if they change the length of their tool.
I was under the impression that you basically drive an already calibrated tool to the top of the tool setter and when it touches the button on the top it fires an input to the robot to stop the movement and updates the tool data. This could be completely wrong since I've never used one, and I have no idea where to even begin doing this. Could any of you clever bunch offer some insight?
