Hello everyone, I'd like to know few things about KUKA robot and I hope the community could answer.
I am implementing a safety system for the robots (kuka KR 6 R 1820 and KR 16 R 1610) at the facility and after risk assessment, I found that a PLd sensor is required. The rooms in which robots are placed have space issues and minimum distance required cannot be kept due to space limitations in the room. Minimum distance at which light curtain is placed is calculated based on Stop time and walking speed. My idea is to reduce the stop time by reducing the speed, which will reduce the minimum distance required.
My questions are below.
(1) In T2 and Automatic mode, how is it possible to reduce or fix the speed to a low value?
Giving values in Program is not enough, I'd like to know if it's possible to fix permanently the robot speed from Machine data or by installing any software from KUKA (or any other possible solution).
(2) How to get the stopping time value (when EMERGENCY Stop is pressed) from robot?
