I'm having problems with a Krc2 and I want it to turn off completely instead of hibernating. Does anyone know how I can change this shutdown mode?
How to change KRC2 shutdown mode. from hibernate mode to complete shutdown.

KRC2 is the version of controller hardware.
what you are actually asking for is a software setting so it would be a good idea to share your system software version (KSS).
one option is to login as Expert, minimize HMI, open windows explorer, navigate to C:\KRC\ folder
and look around. if i recall there should be folder UTIL, Registry.
in Registry folder there are several REG files to enable and disable different things.
One of them should be to enable cold boot.
While in windows explorer, just double click on the file to apply changes, confirm if that is what you want, then reboot.

correct Panic Mode forgive me for the lack of attention to this detail. my KSS version is 5.4.
OK, I'll check now with your information.

In this folder mentioned by panic mode you have three reg files regarding boot options:
ColdStart.reg
WarmStart.reg
Hibernate.reg

right, I don't want it to hibernate anymore, what procedure should I do?

That depends_
ColdStart.reg
Windows and Base System are shut down completely and will restart competely
WarmStart:
Windows will shut down completely and Base System will be sent to sleep

would be Coldstart.reg

I found the files mentioned, but when activating the command, it only gives me the option to add it and not to disable it.
I want to disable Warmstart; so that it never happens.

What do you actually have and what do you actually want?
According to your post #1 you have hibernate and want coldstart.
Why you are dealing with Warmstart then?
While in windows explorer, just double click on the file to apply changes, confirm if that is what you want, then reboot.
You want coldstart: select ColdStart.reg and follow panic mode's quote (confirm means add)

Okay, I'll try to be clearer, currently it is hibernating. I don't want that to happen. So I followed the Panic Mode instructions, but when I turn it off it still continues to sleep. I followed as described by Panic Mode and gave the ColdStart command. but hibernating still happens. I want to delete it, I simply want it to never go to sleep, to turn off completely.

With the reg files
ColdStart.reg
WarmStart.reg
Hibernate.reg
you are only overwriting the Variable "ReStartType"
dword:00000000: ColdStart
dword:00000001: WarmStart
dword:00000002: Hibernate
You not deleting anything
After doubleclock the ColdStart.reg you should get first a dialog box asking something like
"add information to registry?
yes: After pushing add button you will get a info box saying value added and have new value in registry
no: no message and no updated value

Under ther menu item "Configure" you should find a sub menu item "On/Off Options" and there you should be able to force a coldstart
-
Just out of curiosity, Why do you want "coldstart" to be the default? I am not saying you should't i would just like to know what kind of problems that you are having that needs this solution,

Hi Leon
I'm having problems loading the program in hibernate mode. it ends up getting stuck on the loading screen. So I have to turn it off again and turn it back on. stuck ends up not hibernating and restarting completely on this second occasion. In the tests I did, when I do a mandatory cold start, it starts normally without any problems. By deduction I believe the problem is Hibernate. as the batteries were all replaced with new ones and other possible causes of this failure I do not know.

hello
I know about this option, but I wish there was a way for this to be automatic.

Running ColdStart.reg would do that.
Do you get the dialog with "ADD" yes/no and info "done" after by selected "yes" before?
Or do you get an error message?
