Just starting out using Motoman and playing around with MotoSim ahead of jumping on a real world robot and I have an issue with UF's.
I have a very simple setup of 2 stands (picture below) and I have setup 2 UF's indicated with the coloured triads.
What I am trying to do, is create a JOB for one of the stands using UF1 and teach some points relative to UF1.
Then copy the JOB and change the UF reference to UF2 and then visit the same points on the other stand.
I cannot find ANY option to create a new JOB that will use a UF, any JOB I teach appear to store C00000's as pulse values and not actual coordinates.
I thought if I set the relative jog UF, create a JOB would automatically assign that UF to the JOB.......but nope.
Surely, from the teach pendant, I can create a job from scratch which will allow me to set a UF and then ANY point will teach that point reference the UF as long as I am in the correct UF.
Which begs me to believe, on a real world robot, I cannot simply teach a new JOB with a UF associated with it.
The only way I have found to get around this, is to create an empty job, then using Utility to make it relative (this then gives me the option of setting a UF).
Surely this is the not the correct way to do this through the teach pendant.
Am I missing some fundamental setting somewhere or overlooking something that is staring me in the face and just can't see it?
Any pointers would be very much appreciated.
