Hi folks , in the robotic painting realm , the technology seems to a little hit or miss compared to typical applications like arc welding. Im currently researching on the industrial robotic painting applications for implementation of such a system. How do robot manufacturers like KUKA , FANUC , Kawasaki and ABB compare in terms of their technologies. As I’m quite new to the topic it would be interesting and helpful to know the general process of implementing a program for a painting application what are the critical considerations that are typically monitored , what supplementary technologies are used in your own in-house applications to negate these factors and improve the overall process?
Another important topic of discussion lately has also been the improvements in OLP software, how effective is it as a sole operator for the entire process, is it merely marketing jargon from the manufacturers that seem to project a complete turn key solution or are they truly viable investments in the industry?
