Looking at the Bakinfo file I see the system ID is 99-00013 instead of the robot serial number. This indicates that the system integrator has a custom software package installed. It is likely to be on those disks which have the blue border. Browse those disks to see if you can find an additional key on there. Also, see if there is an installer or documentation in those disks.

Ok sir thanks once i get floppy to usb converter i will be able to open floppyies and will keep here updated !
Best Regards

Each version of the Baseware has its own installer. Did you install those using the installer?
Yes i downloaded the drive and change the folder at mediapool and select preferences and erease 1.40 and it shows 2.23 but like you said we should check blue floppies
-
Just so you know, there is no need to delete the older versions in the mediapool. It is a good thing to have as many versions as possible.

Thanks lot , is there a any way to export RW and other additional keys from Controllers hdd ? I did normal backup but until flooppy reader arrive to me i want to comminucate controller with laptop and download datas with using RobInstall. After accsess floppies i will be back sir thanks
-
There is no need to export the robotware, you already have it installed. I don't think that you will find any other keys to export. I looked again at the backinfo and I see that the option for FTP and NFS is not included, so you might not be able to FTP with the controller. Have you tried to do that yet? Other than that, have you been using the usb floppy emulator successfully?
-
Hello i have been using the usb floppy emulator successfully thats how i got backups from controller . also tried to connect service port test good i can connect to controller with laptop no problem. The big problem floppy disks are dead i think.I Just got usb floppy drive and tried to read inside floppies but it is not working.I really need a new RobInstaller to open mine RW2.23 backups and same signature type to change language
-
Have you tried to read known good disks with your new usb floppy drive? Maybe you need a driver for it.

Lemster68 is correct, USB floppy drives seem to fail a lot. I learned to always carry a spare along with several known good floppy disks to verify operation.

Hello again , I tried to open floppy disks only 3 of them (4-5-6 numbers) disks worked and the other 4 floppy disks 1-2-3 and FactoryWare disk are dead.
Any more solutions ?
i asked RobInstallers newer version from ABB to use key baseware setup and i asked FactoryWare disk from factory if backup key not work for baseware we need factoryware disk to use backup key.Otherwise i will use my RW1.40 key and no more 2.23 version
thats is ABBs message to me : If you request, I can send you the RobotWare 4.0 3HAC6811-2.23 installation file. With the FactoryWARE DESMA 99-00013 option you have, you can perform the system setup in English. But in order to do this, you may need to change the DSQC500->DSQC540 main computer board. 2.02 and later will need this card. Sometimes the installation can be performed. It can be tried.

Hello. It sounds like they are being very helpful. My next suggestion would have been to go back to the original installation beginning with the older baseware. From there, you would have been able to update the system with newer baseware. Regarding the main computer, it may already be upgraded, since it does have > 2.02 already, 2.23. Just open the cabinet and have a look.
-
Search DSQC540 on the forum for lots of relevant info.
Also look for a PDF regarding updating RW4.0 to revisions above 113.
Regarding floppies again - I've had luck reading them in an old desktop/laptop floppy drive when they wouldn't read on a USB floppy drive. I've also been able to copy disk with an older drive running XP even when it had an issue reading.

Hello Lemster68 and Skooter Thanks . You are bein very helpfull more than ABB !

As you said before , problem is because of the installer. Each baseware has its own installer so mine CD is not match with backups so could you please anyone can upload RobotWare 4.0 3HAC6811-2.23 installation file I asked from Abb but no response. Skooter Lemster68 .
Best Regards

I solved the issue and created system then changed language exact RW 2.23 from backup key
I found 2.27 Installer and add 2.23 to media pool then used my backups with serial number
now looks good.Next step is installing which should i prefer Download selection or Create iboot disk ?
-
Create the boot disks just so you have them. Going online with the controller to install is pretty easy.

Things getting interesting , I did C-Start and after that downloaded to system to controller it was succesfull and asked me to reboot controller yes or no then after reboot installation started and this error happened. What is the problem i am so confussed
-
How did you try to install the system? Direct by ethernet or did you use the usb floppy emulator?
-
At first i did X start to see if there any other sytems in controller and then in the x start page
i direct connect ethernet then try to download created system and this showed to me after that i did C start and download system but in X start page it showed me this message then i did C start and downloaded system i think boot image version was different one is 6.05 other is 6.22.At this message i select cancel i didnt continued.
I want to format Hd0a but it says cant format and i barely see other system files at file manager
-
Lemster68 and i downloaded RW1.40 to controller but in hd0a there is other system files which i cant delete and in format section i cant format hd0a
-
Do not format the hard drive.
Allow RobInstall to update the boot app.
If it still doesn't work after that, recreate the system from the key verifying it has correct robot & option info and try again.
There is a possibility of a hardware issue. Did you verify it has the DSQC540 CPU?
I prefer using the service port instead of floppies.
