    Hello Everyone,

I have an R2000 robot that was bought from auction. When I jog the robot, and either release the deadman switch or hit the estop on the teach pendant, the robot loses its position. It seems to lose it at the J2 axis. It looks like there might be some issue with the motor break or something. Does anyone have an idea if I need to replace the motor or if something else is going wrong?

    Thanks

Sounds like a classic case of the brake being bad.

Some probably greased it without removing the bleed bolts and grease made it past the motor seal into the brake.

Because it's always best to give any grease zerk a few pumps any time you see a grease zerk... :wallbash:

Changed the title of the thread from “Motor Break Issue” to “Motor Brake Issue”.
