We are in the process of deciding on which robot arm to purchase for a cutting / drilling application.
Reach is not going to be much of a factor, so small reach is ideal.
What I'm having trouble determining is payload requirements. The robot will have a double spindle attached to it. One side will be used to drill 3/8 inch holes in 2 inch thick LVL lumber. The other side will have a circular saw attachment which will be used to miter the LVL.
The spindle itself is 50lbs.
I would really appreciate any pointers in how to determine load requirements for such an application.
