Well, that's new.
First thing to try: connect a DVI monitor (and a USB mouse&keyboard) to the KRC motherboard directly, unplug the SmartPad, and reboot. If the HMI works through the monitor and responds to the mouse&keyboard, then the issue is limited to the SmartPad itself.
Otherwise, the issue may be in the KRC, and might require re-installing KSS from scratch.

Thank you for your reply
I connect a DVI monitor (and a USB mouse&keyboard) to the KRC motherboard directly and the HMI works through the monitor and responds to the mouse&keyboard but the SmartPad still give me a HMI Error and Error in RDP Ip that is 172.17.0.1
I tried all the disconnect and restart things.Your help is super appreciated

Have you tried swapping smartPad?
-
Thank you for reply,
What do you mean with swapping SmartPad ? -
Swapping the SmartPad for a different one, from another robot.
It certainly sounds like the problem is limited to the SP, but swapping the SP with one that works on another robot would be the final confirmation test.
Is this a new KRC or SP? Were they working before? Did anything get changed before this error began? My first thought is that the SP was getting a firmware update from the KRC and somehow it failed, but that should only happen if an older SP is attached to a newer KRC for the first time.

Thank you for your reply,
Unfortunately I don’t have another smartPad and this one was working clearly.I think one of the problems effects that the IP Adresse in the Krc have been changed but I returned it to the original one and after that the SmartPad disconnected. -
I really needs a clear steps of how to reconnect the HMI of the SmartPad .
Your help is super appreciated -
Changing the IP address of the KRC should have no effect on the SmartPad at all. The IP address you can set through the Network Config manual is for a completely different network interface than the internal network used for the SmartPad.
The issue, I think, is that your SmartPad has something wrong with it internally. The SP is a small computer itself, that opens a Remote Desktop session to the KRC4. Frankly, it looks like your SP needs to have its firmware re-flashed, and I don't know any way of doing that without sending it back to KUKA. I think at this point, you should carry out a KRCDiag and contact KUKA Service for directions.
