We currently have an IRB6400 with s4c+ controller, IRB 2400 with S4c controller and soon to have another IRB 6400 with s4C controller up and running. One of the robots has an Ethernet connection and another has a USB connection. Im Wondering is it possible to get all these robots connected to our server so that they can be accessed from the office to transfer files instead of having to take a laptop down and start plugging cables and usbs in. If this is possible what would I have to do.
Can I add Robots to a server

I have several S4C+ machines on our plant network. Curiously, the IRC5 machines we had came without the software (PC Interface option 616-1) required to backup files remotely.

Iowan - Do the IRC5's have the PC Interface option (616-1)? If so it can be done.

Sean - It will not be easy.

Is M98A an S4c+ controller ? And what would I have to do to the other robot? Do I just have to get an Ethernet port for it or is there one on them somewhere?

As best as I can recall, no, it is not. M2000 was when s4C+ came about.

The Ethernet port on the S4C's was it's own expansion board https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fr…SQC336&_sacat=0Additionally you need to upgrade the software with the FTP option (to allow the robot to connect to an external FTP server).
