Hello everyone! I've configured a Profinet configuration between PLC and a KR6 R900 sixx.
Siemens S7-1200 as controller, KrC4 as device.

The connection is okay ( profinet names and so on).
I'm just missing the "I/Os mapping". How do i configure this? Or do I check the profinet signal inputs on the robot?

Extra: The connection is open between robot and PLC. Do i need to add the PLC to workvisual project as well? The robot is the device, so I didn't do that..
    Thank you!

You need to tell the robot how many I/O are for Profinet communication in your Profinet Communication Settings.

Then go into 'IO Mapping' in WoV, on the left, select 'KRC I/Os' - 'Digital Inputs', on the right (under 'field busses' tab) select 'profinet Inputs', and connect the 2 wherever suits. Repeat for Outputs. Deploy project, job done.

No Need to 'add PLC to WoV project'.

Yap. I did that and all good. But I still can't see any changes in the inputs/outputs display ( digital )..

Double click Profinet under Bus structure in WoV and Make sure you have the device name added(PLC) under the Profinet - Device name....also number of safe IO's, number of IO's and Profinet Version is correct

-Device name and controller name under Profinet are correct : when i disconnect the cables the communication is closed ( and restored when connected )
    -Safe I/O's - none ( zero)
    -Number of I/Os: 8
    - KSS version 8.3.17 - Profinet version 3.2.0 - GSDML-V2.31-KUKA-KRC4-ProfiNet_3.2-20140908

I think everything is okay.. right?

The IO's depend on how your plc is configured, they have to match.
Do you have any PNIO errors or could not connect to device showing on the teach pendant?

The Kuka switch inside the controller cabinet needs to be configured on your network to allow communication between the PLC and the robot, make sure it does not have a red light

I would also check to make sure your KLI (virtual network 5), under diagnostic, has the correct robot IP and the PLC also is using correct IP for the robot.
The KLI network will also show if you are sending / receiving data

    IO's, see attached.
No PNIO errors. Connection ok ( IP is also correct - connected on KLI (X66) ). I go to Diagnostic Monitor on teach pendant and KLI is swapping information. ( TX and RX counters increasing).

But in the Diagnostic Monitor - Profinet IO-Driver (PNIODriver) the Profinet Blink is OFF. Is it suppose to?

    Any ideas?

It looks like, from the pictures, that your WoV configuration is correct. I would make sure the PLC is configured to the correct bit range.
You can also reset / reconfigure IO driver by going to Display - Inputs/outputs - IO drivers

That shows only plc cpu... I see no network or KRC4...

    1) read pinned topic: READ FIRST...

    2) if you have an issue with robot, post question in the correct forum section... do NOT contact me directly

    3) read 1 and 2

Problem solved. The I/O mapping in TIA Portal was wrong.. I was activating the output with address 0.0 (0.1,...) and it was suppose to be address 2.0 (2.1,..).
    Thank you all!
