Hi, did anyone use safety features of the EL6695 ? I've done I/O standard data communication between NX1 (secondary side) and KRC4 (primary sid) but can't deal with safety data. Is it possible to do this?

i have not tried that arrangement yet but don't see why it should not work

Are you trying to link the robot safety to the EtherCat I/O?
-
when exchanging safety data over ethernet connection (FSoE, ProfiSafe, CIP Safety), safePLC is a safety controller.
this is seen by robot as data from X11 and X13 (but more signals). If the safe IO is correctly mapped on PLC side, one should be able to write any safe logic (within safe task of the safety PLC).
This also means that reserved signals must be set to true. -
Is it possible to use a third part Safety controler (like this: http://www.ia.omron.com/data_pdf/cat/n…_csm1013831.pdf to make the safety over Ethercat instead use SiB, Profisafe or Ethernet/IP on a KRC4?
I had configure this one on WoV, but nothing special hapen and I don't know where to find info about it. I
mean: How to map this safe IO?
I'm not able to find suck this information. Would be it a developer level knowlegement? -
KRC side mapping is fixed for safety IO (read SafeOperation manual).
PLC side mapping therefore must match it (read SafeOperation manual...) and some PLC code must be written in the safety task (see
sample mentioning red banner in my previous reply). -
I don't know if you understood me. Sorry, maybe my bad english.
While working with Profinet or Ethernet/IP the things go ok (not so ok, kuka manual do omit some important things but... ok). I do not talk about this networks.
Now I want to put a slave safety PLC (like OMROM SL3300) over Ethercat. Do you are talking about this? Is it possible? Do you have a sample?
-
Krc4 can only work as Ethercat master.
PLCs are normally also working as master.
Direct master to master communication is not possible, it requires bridge.
There are two types of bridge available:
EL6692 - basic bridge, used for standard signals
EL6695 - special bridge, used for standard or safety or both signals -
But SL3300 is a Slave. I can Install this one on KRC4, is working pretty well, but I do not have acess to satety bits.
By the way, if I usa a EL6695, I will be able to enable that safety over Ethercat with another master ethercat?

this topic contains word SAFETY. I am not familiar with your specific product but Google indicates that this is some sort of a SAFETY controller.
i already explained all KRC4 supported safety options ... anything else is not supported.if you want KRC4 to get STANDARD (non-safe) signals to/from some device, you need to use WorkVisual to:
a) integrate Device Description File into DTM catalog
b) map I/O and
c) deploy and activate project Many devices can work but not all are supported or listed (including some of Beckhoff devices).
To learn more about safety circuits, consider safety circuit workshops (like with RiA with Gill Dominguez or safety training from manufacturer of your device) for start, then go over this topic again.
