But SL3300 is a Slave. I can Install this one on KRC4, is working pretty well, but I do not have acess to satety bits.
By the way, if I usa a EL6695, I will be able to enable that safety over Ethercat with another master ethercat?
-
I don't know if you understood me. Sorry, maybe my bad english.
While working with Profinet or Ethernet/IP the things go ok (not so ok, kuka manual do omit some important things but... ok). I do not talk about this networks.
Now I want to put a slave safety PLC (like OMROM SL3300) over Ethercat. Do you are talking about this? Is it possible? Do you have a sample?

Is it possible to use a third part Safety controler (like this: http://www.ia.omron.com/data_p…o_ds_e_4_3_csm1013831.pdf to make the safety over Ethercat instead use SiB, Profisafe or Ethernet/IP on a KRC4?
I had configure this one on WoV, but nothing special hapen and I don't know where to find info about it. I
mean: How to map this safe IO?
I'm not able to find suck this information. Would be it a developer level knowlegement? -
to place jumpers in X11 (external enabling switch)To make in this way the SiB have to still conected?

Thanks Panic Mode.
For Those with same issue: I am replacing a damaged SIB Board by a safety over Profinet.
The problem was the Profinet Safety ID (in WoV: Safety Configuration -> Parameter Comunications. On TIA V13 Siemens Call of Basis for PROFIsafe Adrress at CPU properiets)
I did remove only SIB from WoV configuration. Left CIB there.Now, when T1 or T2, the mesage KSS00404.
Should I have make "jump" on X311 on CCU? Right? -
Hi arzthaus. Could you share a sample of your S7-300 program?
I am trying to active safety over PROfisafe. But I am doing some thing wrong.
The standards I/O works perfectly, but the safe bits seems not to be transmited from or to PLC.
Do I have to use some special safety block? Some special configutration? -
Yes I agree with you, CCU solution is not the better way.
But this is real. There are a KRC4 with a K210optimusPrime for Ford Standard.
They use this for welding machine. Use only X312, and this respond to PERI Read. There are no X11, the safety is made by CIP safety over Ethernet.
For those that has a X11 in KRC4, there are outputs that responds to emergency local button at X11.37-38 and X11.55-60 and more in the following pairs. -
Hi. I need more information about X308, X309, X312 port that exists in CCU board from KRC4.
We receive a cabinet with a X308 contactors coils linked in.
At item 11.6.3 from KRC4 operation instructions we have only a description "External power supply, safety circuit"
I looking for documentation about it. How it works? this is really safety output? This is a feedback of TP emergêncy button, or only drive? or dead man switch?
Thanks anyone that can help. -
just map block of I/O for cyclical update... all info is in the WoV manual and help. important thing to know is that you must use virtual5 as EIP interface. if you wish to split windows and EIP traffic, then create new adapter (virtual6) and make it windows interface (EIP must stay on virtual5).Could you tell me more about this Virtual6? I did not find reference in any manual.
After make the adaptatons in drivers files I got the Error :"Can´t read/write EIP-SCANNER" after to try create a virtual6 some errors apears. (don´t know how) but other eipDEVICES worked well in virtual5 together windows conection. Only explicit message don't.
-
Ok. I did could understand the code... I think...
But I lost my self with the IP adressing at WoV.
I need to put insert a Generic Explicity Massage EDS? When I try "Connect" its return a error: Diferent Vendor Number.
I did not see cleary were I will define the target of my comunication. Shoud I put a IP address in some place or the KRC4 will be a slave? a server? This will bethe scanner?still locking for Help.
Thanks

Hi guys, this is a old topic but a new ploblem to me. Please Help-me.
panic mode, I really need work with a assyclic message.There no other way. I have a KRC4 and a AB Micro850 (this s**** is able to send explicit message over EIP but can't map a I/O in module like a AB Compactlogix - "There is no a Modular ESD" saids WoV...)
I have read the KR C4 EtherNet/IP 2.0 Manual but could not understand very well...
...
61 CRead (nHandle, Stat, RMode, TimeOut, Offset, "%r",Buffer[]);
62 If ( Stat.Ret1==#DATA_END ) then
63
64 Offset=0
65 CAST_FROM(Buffer[],Offset, CmdID)
66 CAST_FROM(Buffer[],Offset, CmdLen)
67
68 if (CmdID == 1) then....
CmdID is cast from Buffer? On PLC side this is a String Buffer?
TickTack did your code worked?

Thanks Panic mode. It's right, I understood. Some time ago I used this X43 on CCU (not sure X43, maybe... but was on CCU) to upload a program via Work Visual on KRC4.
I would to like to no some thing else. I am able to use Profinet(profisafe) and Ethernet/IP (to control a 3rd drive, a SEW Movidrive) on the same Kuka KRC4? On same KLI?
Thanks. -
Hi, I am facing the same problem. I did talk with a OMRON Network specialist today and they think that a Master EtherCat from OMROM should work through CIP safety implementation. But how to do this on Kuka side?
-
Normal practice is to add a powered switch to the KLI bus to accommodate multiple simultaneous physical connections.Are you using the robot as a ProfiNet slave, or master? As a slave, PN doesn't get an IP address of its own, it just uses the KLI address.
The KRC4 has a second fisical KLI port in board (down there) that you can use without a switch. I used once but over Ethernet/IP.
