Hello all,
Is it possible to have certain I/O turn off when the emergency stop button is hit? This is for an r-30ib controller with handling tool.
thanks!

Yes, there are several ways of doing it. Are you needing outputs off for human safety or machine/process related reasons?

I need the outputs off for machine/process related reasons. Just out of curiosity what would be different between the two?

The difference is that human safety should not be implemented programmatically, but by hardware circuits or at least by safety-rated programmable device (DCS in the robot or a safety PLC).
For process purposes you can use BG Logic. -
If you just want a specific DO to turn off, you can use the I/O Interconnect and link it to ES.
If you want several, use the ESPB1 & ESPB11 connection on TBOP14 to disconnect the supply voltage going to those outputs whenever the robot e-stop buttons are pressed. Be aware that the relay is also open whenever the controller is off. -

There are two EStop buttons- on the TP and on the controller, and both cannot be mapped to the same DO by Interconnect. -
Under the config menu you can set a single output to go high if any e-stop occurs, then you can tie that on to whatever outputs you want to turn off via background program or in your plc.

What abt RO? Instead of DO
-
You can use any signal in BGlogic.
