Hello!
I am currently working at a customer, making adjustments to some robot programs. The cell contains 5 robots, and has been running for maybe 4 months. The robots have KRC4 controllers. I have noticed that the graphics on the screens of the teach pendants have started to burn into the monitors, i.e. when I turn the mode selection switch, then I can still see the outlines of the previous graphics.
Is this normal? I have seen this before, on monitors that have been on for many years, but the robots have only been used in production for a few months! They are running 24/7, but I still find it strange that the image gets burned into the screen that fast. KUKA ought to know that the teach pendants will be showing (almost) the same image for very long periods of time, so it should not be a surprise for them that the monitor in the KCP needs to be able to handle that.
Is there some sort of screen saver functionality in KSS 8.X, so that I can avoid this problem? Does it help to disable the backlighting in the KCP?
Thanks in advance!
