How is possible to realise a VFD serial communication with KRC2 controller.
VFD has only RS485 communication.
KRC2 has Devicenet on MFC card, Ethernet, .... but not RS 485.

krc2 has rs232 port, just use rs232-rs485 converter (~$50) and make sure message format is correct

As Panic says, RS485, RS422, and RS232 all use the same protocols -- the differences are only at the hardware level. So a hardware port converter should allow you to perform this communication using standard KRL.

Thank you .

Signum,
Did this work out for you? Care to share?
I have a Delta VFD (vfd075b43a) that doesn't have devicenet on it...delta is phasing out the b series and devicenet communication modules are on a 3-4 month back order and nothing on the ebay.
It does however have rs485 communication. Wondering how you went about doing this as its totally new to me. Thanks.

Uberdoom,
I did not connected anymore VFD with robot controller. I use it independently, to start and control spindle speed and I stop it also manually.
