hi everyone
i am going to purchase a 2-axis positioner Kuka DKP 400, about EUR22600.
i have heard that i must pay EUR12000 more to buy the Driver for that if i want to work with DKP400. is that true?
many thanks for taking time in advance

I assume you mean a KSD and EX Axis internal loom for the KRC yes you will need one if one is not fitted as for price i am unsure

Where to buy?

From KUKA or maybe eBay
-
you ill likely need two because positioner adds two axes.

thanks all.
actually ,it is decided to provide the positioner- DKP400 from KUKA office in china . if i got it right ,you mean that the mentioned driver should be added in KRC4 controller because of the increasing in number of axis-( 6 axis turn into 8 axis). so it seems i have to buy the both of DKP400 and Driver...
but the price which offer me for Driver is EUR12000 ... am i right? -
if your KRC4 controller is for 6 axis robot, two drive packs are used (each supporting 3 axes), plus KPP (power supply). standard KPP version is just power supply (no servo drives). there are other versions which also include servo drive for one or two external axes. unless you ordered robot configuration where KPP had drives for 2 external axes (and you did not use them so far), this need to replaced with correct version (plus cables, work visual configuration etc.).
