hi..please help me with this problem. i'm using dx100 to done my project for glue dispenser.how to start the program without moving the robot because i need to take the weight of the glue dispense for quality check. tq.

First of all, for safety reasons the robot should stop as soon as you enter the working envelope (via scanner, light curtains, doors,etc)
Based on that, the solution is very simple
1) write you glue path
2) write a program called GLUE_CHECK.JBI. Teach a position that is convenience for the maintenance
2a) you can put a timer , no, no, bad idea
2b) program an input after that pointMOVE J
MOVE L //Maintenance
WAIT IN#(1) ON
MOVE L2c) while the robot is waiting, "break the safeties", (you should lose servos), walk in the cell, do the repairs
2d) get out of safety area, reset safety, restart robot, done -
Insert a "Pause "
Or
Run an input - Paused & stationary " interrupt " job as Potis & self do.
Then open door with safeties - shut down & start up from that same point . -
I believe he wants to use the MACHINE LOCK function. This will allow run of the robot without manipulator motion. I've seen this used with glue dispensing applications to allow the glue to dump out.
- Set robot in play mode
- Select your job
- Select the utility menu from the top menu bar
- Select "SPECIAL RUN CONDITIONS"
- Set MACHINE LOCK = VALID
- Select completeThis can also be switched on via PLC is desired.

This is how I do it in AUTO.
MOVJ PL=0 Move to test position
PULSE DOUT turn on glue for test time
Wait OUT ON Wait for glue on
Wait OUT OFF Wait for glue off PULSE END
TIMER 0.5 Let glue drip off tip
MOVJ Move away from test to home
