Hello and sorry for my bad english ,
I have 2 questions , the first one : I had this message in the smartpad
of krc4 : braketest required , so I did the brake test and I had the message :
braketest done successfully ,but when I reboot the krc4 the message braketest required returns !!
how can I avoid that ?
my second question is about operator safety , I have a detector limit with two wires ,
connected to the door , how I should connect it corrctly with X11 ?
Thanks

I'm afraid I can't speak to the Brake Test issue.
As for wiring Operator Safety to X11, you need two signals operating in parallel -- A and B. The way this works, your safety gate switch needs to have two separate contact pairs. Operator Safety A needs to be wired to one side of one contact pair, with one of the Test A outputs wired to the other side of that pair. The B pair needs to be wired to the other contact pair. No contact between the A and B wires can be allowed. Both the A and B contactors must close and open simultaneously.

Thank you for your response ;
what can I do if my limit detector has one contact normally close and the other normally open?
I must change it ? can I find a limit detector with 2 pairs normally open? -
Really for safety allocations you should be using n/c inputs, at least dual circuit and monitored. This although this will depend on your configuration.
We make our safety systems to CAT3.Sent using Tapatalk 4

All safety-qualified devices that I am aware of these days use dual contactors. They should be readily available from most vendors.
Eusty is correct -- safety contacts should be wired such that any loss of connection (for example, someone drives a forklift over the cable) looks the same as someone opening the gate.

solved for the safety operator
but not for the braketest . -
dear nc56
did you find the way to solve your problem with brake test?
i have same problem i perform braketestreq and then i can see the message brake test sucsessful but after reboting the controler i see the message "braketest required" again
please say how you resolve this problem, please? -
That is normal.
After a reboot the brake test is necessary!
Someone could have changed the brakes or other strange things before switching on the controller. So the brakes must be checked. -

Furthermore it will repeat the brake test periodically defined in BrakeTestdrv.ini / BrakeTestCycTime=24 (here every 24 hours).Solution: Never shut down the controller

Hi fal,
what I remember , that I did the break test in expert mode then I did a cold reboot ,
I'am not sure if I did anything else .
