Hi!
Has anyone set up or have any inputs regarding controlling a Fronius TransSteel 5000 from KRC4 via DeviceNet?
Originally I ordered the Fronius with EtherCat interface since KRC4 has EtherCat.
Fronius then told me (Beckhoff) Ethercat was not ready implemented for KRC4, so I had to go for DeviceNet instead.
My setup now is:
- KRC4 EtherCat master
|
- EK1100 EtherCat node
- EL6752 DeviceNet master
|
- BK5250 DeviceNet slave
- KL6021 Serial interface
- KL9010 K-Bus end terminal
|
- Fronius TST5000
Since Beckhoff has so many components, I suspect that this link could have done simpler, but for now I don't know, and I don't have enough brainpower left to try...
This setup should work according to KUKA and Fronius, but I have problems with configuring the DeviceNet. Keeps getting error messages like "wrong produced/consumed IO data size"
WorkVisual doesn't support importing EDS files for the DeviceNet slave, so this has to be done with a generic device and manual settings.
The Fronius documentation says that 96 bit in and out should be used.
I assume this is 12 byte and has tried with that and many other settings without any luck.
For me it seems like the slave has 2 byte status bytes, but I am not sure.
Does anyone have any experience with this implementation, or any ideas??
Even if this has been done in KRC2 the set up/data table for devicenet could be used as reference i think.
Crossing my fingers here
