I am new to robotics so please keep that in mind.
Our company is adding a six axis kuka robot in a new machine that will be on a linear slide (7th axis). We want to understand what the implications of changing the robot are (i.e. 6 out of 7 axis).
Whilst it is unlikely we would need to change it anytime soon, we would like to understand any potential downtime and identify how we can avoid major disruptions.
I presume the once re-mastered and mastering reference are taught it would be good to go? Also the safety signature would presumably change?
In essence what is the procedure to changing the robot on a linear slide.
Any help appreciated.
