I am trying to look at my options but Kuka reps are taking forever with a lot of questions. I just want to know how much the software solution costs to go with a used Kuka palletizing robot that we received, and quickly know if it is within our budget and see if it's worth our time pursuing. I am assuming this is a subscription and needs an editor software or WorkVisual or sth. If anyone has any experience and can share the pricing info, I would appreciate it.
How much does Kuka PalletTech (and any other required software) cost?

You can anytime write to KUKA customer service with the robot model and details requesting a pricing quote for the specified tech packages and extensions. They are always happy to provide the info.

Exactly, these are the kind of questions that don't have an answer. I can tell you what I paid last year for a few days, but it won't be the same price today. Also, freelancers usually charge less for this.

everyone like to blame others because it is easy but... look at this post - there is even no mention of the KSS version. without key system info, how can anyone determine which product is applicable, not to mention cost? the next thing is related editor and of course implementation cost. one may well have the software option but if one is not familiar with it (how to install it and commission), cost of software will pale in comparison with cost of labor and downtime. if one just wants to know the cost of some software option it is simple, take a look at your robot KSS version and check on Xpert portal what software options are available for your system. then send email to KUKA, asking for a quote for it. do not forget to include your system key info (robot and controller serial numbers, kss version, list of installed software options and their versions)
