We are developing an application with the following 3 components:
- 7TH axis FANUC robot. 7th axis is a linear rail. FANUC's linear speed must match that of the AGVs.
- AGV, while moving, will have a part placed on it by the FANUC robot. AGV to pass dynamic location data to PLC.
- PLC to receive the AGV location data which is constantly updated.
The AGV is passing it’s position data into a double word in a PLC and we want to pass this dynamic positional data to the FANUC controller so that it's 7th axis linear speed matches the AGV’s speed.
Has anyone had experience with this sort of application? If so, how did you pass the dynamic location data in the PLC to the FANUC controller?
