    Good morning,

I am a student and i just started to use roboguide. I wish to simulate a Robot station with a BG program runing which would be capable of stoping, restart, resume and reset the current program using UOP Input using PNS mode.

I started by enabling the UI signals, activate the remote setup and putting the variable $RMT_MASTER to 0.

my controller in on AUTO and the teaching box (? i am sorry i could not find the english word for it.) is on Off.

In the prog select menu i set the select program mode on PNS and the production start method is UOP.

I successfully linked my UI to Flags. Each of the 18 UI are liked to a single flag (1 to 18 flag).

    In system config:

    Enable UI signals is TRUE,

Start For Continue Only is TRUE,

    CSTOPI for Abort is TRUE

ABORT ALL PRog by CSTOPI is false

PROD_START depend on PNSTROBE is True

Detect FAULT_RESET signal is on Fall

    Remote/local Setup is on REMOTE

    External I/O (ON:Remote) : is on DI[0]

For the moment i do not have aby BG program running. I am just trying to select a prog using flags.

Following the PNS setup i set i named my prog PNS0138. (job prefix: PNS ; Base Number: 0 ; ACK pulse 400).

The problems is i can't turn on the flag related to PNS (UI 9 To UI 16)

    More precisely: :

UI 1,2,3,4 and 8 are automatically on On when i start the controller.

UI 1,3 and 8 Can't be turned off

UI 2 and 4 can be Turned off.

When i turn off UI 2 (or flag 2) i do lose the hold signal.

UI 5 and UI17 can be turned on and off.

The rest of them (UI 9 to UI 16 and UI 18) are turned off and i can't turn them on. Or if i understand correctly to select my program (PNS138) I need to turn on UI 14, 10 and 11 to set the binary code for 38 and then activate PNSTROBE (UI17).

I feel like it comes from my lack of experience with this software but i have no one around me who could explain what i did wrong or what i forgot to do. So i am asking here in hope someone could enlighten me.

    Thanks in advance

ps: I apologise for my english. It's not my mother tongue.

Can you share your UI Config screen? It should look something like the image below:

I just set up a robot earlier this month that uses flags tied to the UI; I found out during that project that UI behavior in roboguide is slightly different from UI behavior in the real robot (Mapping UOP to flags).

UI 14, 10, and 11 will select PNS0038. For PNS0138, you'll need UIs 10, 12, and 16. To select you'll need to pulse UI 17 - turn it on then back off again. To start the selected program, you'll need to pulse UI18.

What is UOP auto assignment set to (should be near the bottom of the config screen)?

Share the UI Config screen. My guess is that UOP auto-assign is overwriting your assignment to the flags, but should be able to give a better answer once I see how it's actually configured.
