Tip Wear and Tip Base

Tip base data AFAIK is created when first installed new tips to create measurement baseline for tip wear comparisons.

This should be done with new tips and correct force applied to make sure tips are located correctly.

If not then baseline data will always show incorrect values for tip wear results.

Likewise if tip base data is incorrect, then incorrect wear values will be returned and pressurization of the gun will not be correct for taught points, and points will need to be re-taught IMHO.

I think note no.2 is referring to this too.

So what does Kawasaki say about it?

If your measurement values are incorrect, then clearly there is an issue with the setup as opposed to trying to circumvent the issue by applying fudged values.
