Hi, my employer would like to have the black physical buttons on axis 1, used for releasing the brakes disabled and it reached out to ABB. ABB point of contact asked us if we remember in what production plant, most probably in automotive industry, is it disabled to trace the communication and make it easier (we told ABB that there is at least one facility but dont remember where). Do you guys know where those buttons are disconnected?
At what factory/facility are ABB robot brake-release buttons disabled?

These buttons?

Please be very detailed about the robot model.
ABB has been using black brake release buttons on dozens of robots models since 1988 (IRB2000).

If the intention is to disable ONLY axis 1 AND still be functional for 2 through 6, or 6+, as Skooter indicated manipulator details are absolutely crucial.
For most, if not all, manipulators a modification of the brake release board may be necessary. -
Why, nowadays you can 3d print a cover for all the buttons, mount it instead of the rubber. Then all buttons are deactivated.
But the question was: in which plants they already have been disconnected?

These buttons?
yes those buttons exactly.
