I was trying to troubleshoot a start button not working and I shorted 24 volts using a multi meter. I think my meter probe touched the casing when I had 24 volts on it. Anyways, the fan immediately turned off so I know I blew a fuse. I couldn’t see a fuse anywhere so I power cycled. When power came back I got the system waiting screen. So now I have 2 problems, the system waiting screen on the teach pendent, and the start button not working. Is there a fuse ? Or did I smoke the entire circuit board? The fan came on when I power cycled.

Slow down and take a breath.
What kind of robot and controller are you working on? What version is it?
What fan are you talking about? There are several fans in a Fanuc controller, some running off of 24 VDC and some running off of 200 VAC 3~.
What start button are you referring to? Is it the stock Fanuc one, or one installed by a 3rd party?
More background information is needed. Pictures would be great.
