KRC 4 HMI - custom plugin.

  • Hi,

I have a huge problem finding information regarding creation of custom plugins for HMI (teach pendant) (in c++ and/or c#).

I have found few threads that are asking similar question, without this forum - a wouldnt even know that there is a way non-kuka entity can create a plugin. I failed to find any information on google and kuka site, only this forum had a bit of infromation. Few pdf I have from KUKA show just how to consume plugin created by third party, so they dont go as deep.

Can you give me more insight?

Are people outside kuka not allowed to create plugins for kuka HMI?

Do you need to buy license to create plugins?

Do you have to pay for documentation (to get demo plugin source code)?

Everyone create plugins there is no limitations. (If you know how to do)

There is no need licence. Because it is not salable products of Kuka.

There is no documentations. Because it is not public and normally users not need to write own plugins (Kuka thinks so)

  • that is correct... KUKA has SDK to create plugins but to my knowledge this is strictly an internal product, not offered to outsiders. Those that succeeded creating plugins without KUKA support have done so on their own, by reverse engineering...

    1) read pinned topic: READ FIRST...

    2) if you have an issue with robot, post question in the correct forum section... do NOT contact me directly

    3) read 1 and 2
