Ok, I have had recent requests for service work and technical support on robots. My question is that I am not really for sure what is a fair rate to quote. I have heard what some companies are quoting, however I am not a company. But they come in about once a day, and several contract offers. So, if you could please give me some insight to what is a fair price for a quote or how you would bid out a job. Thanks

That is kind of depending on where you are talking about on this big blue marble. Also, it depends on your level of expertise. If you are "The Guy", or gal, that can fix a problem where others have failed, then you command a high dollar. If you are kind of average and can teach paths, modify programs, then not quite so much. I would not venture out of my area of expertise much. For example, a robot brand that you have never worked on before. Maybe if someone was begging for help, and one is upfront that they will have a learning curve to face. You will be paying your own taxes out of what you get paid, so remember that.
