So my bots are dead in the water on rails that are 10 feet in the air. Showing SDAL alarm which we pretty much know the pulse coder is defective. My question is, how can we get them to maneuver so we can get them low enough to change the coder??? We’ve tried everything we know to do.(which isn’t a lot considering we are really new at this robot thing). Lol. Any help would be appreciated!!!

Get a ladder.

Methods I know still require being up at the robot. It will not move on it's own until all Pulsecoders are major alarm free and communicating. Releasing individual brakes has to done at the motor, brakes are not wired for individual axis control. Also note that releasing brakes can be very dangerous and must be well thought out - not something I would recommend if you have limited experience. Answer given by stare284 seems inevitable.
Hope it's not a broken connector.
