Hello,
I have a basic question for you. It is possible to use trigger when path or distance between two PTP moves?
in order to use trigger with PATH option, PATH must be calculated. this is not the case for PTP motions. so for PTP you can only use time based trigger options (START and END)
i guess it is "maybe", if "between two PTP motions" is a non-PTP motions
But trigger when path can be between LIN motions?
PATH is computed with LIN, CIRC etc. (even if approximated).
then you can have trigger to respond to path or... "distance from reference point".
TRIGGER command using sync option START or END have also "distance" but this is not PATH, it simply tells if reference point is begin or end of the motion segment - "distance" parameter value is either 0 or 1 ... and not a REAL value such as PATH.
it is unfortunate naming choice, it would be nice if the word was something else, other than "distance", such as "reference" or whatever to make TRIGGER syntax less confusing.
Well actually sptp supports path triggers.
