I'm considering buying and old '96 KUKA 360/125/150.0 with RC 30/51c cabinet, for what is basically a scrap metal price. My idea is to throw away Kuka's controller and talk directly to servo drives. I know nothing about robots, my only experience is with plasma tables and small servo drives. Before I buy the robot I'd like to assess feasibility of my goals.
Do you guys have any information about pinout of PS30/135I and 3PS15/67I drives, especially the 16-pin ribbon cable? I also hope the drives don't require any proprietary data connection to the controller..
