Hi, I recently picked up a Fanuc Lr Mate 200 from 2001. The guy said some batteries need to be replaced in the arm. The part number is a98l-0031-0007. I was wondering if these batteries on Amazon would work instead so I did not have to spend $80. I do not want to fry the robot, so I am afraid to get batteries with too many amps or volts. Thank you very much!

Hallo, just concern to the number of the voltage and amps. Please see the detail of specification in your previous Battery that attached to your robot. Buy some battery with same specification, it is ok if you buy different brand as long as the specification is same.

OK, thank you

Chico,
The batteries in the arm of the robot are simple C or D cell batteries. I believe in the LR MATE, they are C cell. You can buy some Duracell batteries and replace them. They will need to replaced every year after.

I would suggest getting the best batteries that you can. Get the exact replacement for the 3 volt battery in your controller.
Buy an extra, we had one go dead in a week that was brand new but a cheaper brand the crib guy found.
If your batteries go dead, and you have a power outage you could be in for many days of trying to put everything back how it was.
You could even lose every program you have if it is not backed up. Check the voltage on the 3 volt battery in the controller before you install it.
We have got dead ones in the brand new box.
