I've done SafeOperation before, for zones and boundaries, but I have my first project that needs Velocity Limitation in certain areas near the fence lines. And I'm trying to figure out the approximate stopping distances for specific combinations of robot model, payload mass/CG, and velocity.
Unfortunately, the manual just says "figure it out experimentally." Which isn't really an option -- this is a retrofit onto an existing production line, and I need to have a halfway decent idea of the stopping distances before I get to the pendant.
Anyone know a formula, or rule of thumb, for getting a decent estimate?
Also, I need to do the same calculation for a KL-1500 that this robot rides on.
