Good morning Kuka specialists
I was dealing with Ethernet KRL connection with software for machine vision. This soft only supports RS over USB (in my case) or TCP modbus connection. As I know Kuka doesn't support TCP Modbus connection yet.
I've decided to look at the market for a cheap stable hardware implementation of Profinet bridge. I have found but so much expensive.
I was realized that is other protocole that I can send data to Kuka directly. It is Kuka Extension Bus EtherCat.
I have found solution as EtherCat shield for Arduino provided by ****** 50 euro :).
For testing I've decided to use Codesys software (free) with many master stacks as EtherCat, Profinet etc.
I have made software data loop. Data taken from for example machine vision soft send to RS <> EtherCat bridge and had made visualisation in CodeSys.
