I've heard that the X11 pins require a specialized tool to remove it, just wondering what it looks like/ is called?
the pin looks like a longer version of a d sub pin, is the removal tool the same one?

Tool has to match contact dimensions.
This is same type of tool but for larger contacts (sorry, not at computer now)https://www.robot-forum.com/robotforum/ind…WdJNllQRF9Cd0U=

I think this is the correct tool, or at least a close cousin: https://amzn.to/2ZO8fD9
The price is ridiculous. Really, all you need is a straight, rigid, thin-walled steel tube of the correct ID and OD. But the tolerances are pretty tight. I've seen a few machinists make their own by starting with a piece of tube stock and turning it down or reaming it out.
One of the alternate tools on that Amazon page might work, but you'd probably need to buy a variety pack and experiment to determine which one works.
EDIT: Huh! I've never seen the forum add an image to a URL like that before....

The tool handle is some $80
The steel tube is replaceable and it is something like $25 for a pack of five if I recall correctly. -
damn that's expensive for a tool that I might only use twice.....
this is probably a stupid question, but would it be possible to 3d print a one time use tool? provided the dimensions are correct (if the tool doesn't take a lot of force i probably won't break?) -
I don't see 3D printing work for this
This has to be sturdy while tube wall is extremely thin. If on a budget, just get the tube that is a tool tip
