Hardware and Software Update in KRC2

    Hello,

    We have a model Kuka KRC2 of the year 2012, we are experiencing many problems with Windows, slowness, reboot at all times and error when opening KR software (version KR5.6.10).

    The question is:

    Is it possible to update the machine hardware?
    Change the computer, memory and update windows 7?

    You must use an ssd instead of hard disk use more ram
    and check motherboard & power supply for bad caps.

    Updating Windows is not an option -- the KRC can only run the specific KUKA-modified version of Windows it ships with.

    However, wiping the hard drive and re-installing Windows (and then KSS) might help. Sometimes the Windows systems can slowly develop minor file errors over time that show up this way.
    MAKE A COMPLETE HARD DRIVE IMAGE FIRST, just in case.

    Other issues could be sectors going bad in the hard drive, or the RAM beginning to age. Sometimes it can just be the way the HD cables or RAM are seated in the motherboard sockets.
