I've installed workvisual, but I'm unable to launch it, keeps telling me C++ 2005 redistributable is not installed, even tho both the x86 and x64 versions are showing in my installed program lists.
does anyone know a fix/why this is happening?

most software products cannot operate on their own. they require some other software (depend on them).
as the message suggests, solution is to install missing dependencies

Yes, i understand that workvisual depends on the C++ libraries to be present to work properly, but I've already have them installed
as i can see them in my installed programs list
It seems workvisual isn't detecting it, and I'm having trouble figuring out why, I've tried reinstalling the C++ restributable, but it still gives me the same error, only on this laptop after reinstalling windows 10 did I have the this problem.
it would be a good idea to mention details:
what is the exact version of OS
what is this "workstation" you mention exactly and what version?
how did you attempt to install it?
how are you trying to run it?

"workvisual" - my bad, between sunrise workbench and workvisual, i'm getting confused on what their names are.
it's just the official installer from kuka's download centre, once installed i run click the desktop icon.

What specific version of WorkVisual?
If I recall correctly, official support to Win10 came with 4.0.27 version, and I've heard people complaining about newer versions not working properly within Win10.
ok, sorry for not being clear about my version.
I've tried both V5.0.7 Build0755 and 5.0.9 Build0838
both gives me the same error
What shortcut You used to install WoV?
Setup.exe or WorkVisual.msi?

ha... kept installing using WorkVisualSetup.msi and getting erros
after used Setup.exe and everything got solve.
thanks
Great!
This is a pretty common error during the WorkVisual install.
WorkVisual.msi installs only WoV itself. Setup.exe installs all libraries/dependencies, and after that, WorkVisual.
hmmm, doing same thing over and over and expecting different results... and not checking manual ...
Dear Panic mode,
I am also having a problem when launching workvisual.
My system installed it without any error.
when I launch it, it shows small workvisual window and after some seconds it goes and workvisual not started.
No error there.
My workvisual version is V4.0.29 build0473 (installing via CD provided by KUKA).
My system is Dell precision core i7.
windows 7 (64-bit operating system).
16GB RAM.
you should mention how exactly you installed it...
1. since it is installed from kuka CD, short installation path is ensured (this should be no issue)
2. did you follow installation instructions (ie. run SETUP.EXE)
3. does your user account have rights to install software? right click on SETUP.EXE and choose "run as administrator"
4. should mention exact system environment (system language)
5. is the crash report generated? Check path "C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\KUKA Roboter GmbH\WorkVisual\4.0\Reports"
6. did it ever start or it fails to start after integrating KOP etc?
