Hello,
I am running a PaintMate 200ia/5L with a R30iB controller. I have the UOP signal mapped to external; allowing the operators use a remote button box to START, end cycle (DI that finished job and goes home), E_STOP and FAULT RESET. I eliminated the pause/hold function as the operators would pause the robot in the middle of painting a part. After removing the pause function, they still use the FAULT RESET to stop the cycle instead of ending the cycle.
I did do some digging and could not find anything, is there any variable setting that only allows the FAULT RESET to reset faults while not BUSY;and not pause or stop the cycle (just ignore it)?
if not the only back-up idea I have is to map the FAULT RESET to a flag, move the button to a DI, and use a background program to assert the flag when not busy. I would like to avoid the so I don't eat up extra IO
Thanks,
Jim J
